The library of the college was established simultaneously with the parent organization in 1970. Since the year collections of resources have been progressively enriched every year. Sonari College library is one of the best college libraries in Assam in providing efficient services to the readers. Library is hub of the college in all academic activities. The library aims to increase reader day by day therefore it offers best reader award to the student on the librarian’s day to increase the reading habit among the students. It is well stocked with more than 22,397 texts and reference books, local and national newspapers, journals and CD- ROMs etc. The library has a huge collection of dictionaries, encyclopaedias, atlas, maps and rare books. It is also well stocked with special collections of “Baisali Mohan Trust” and Book Bank facility for poor students. The library has two hygienic reading rooms for students and teachers. Sonari College library follows open Access System reducing the barriers between the books and readers. The library is availing membership of INFLIBNET consortia. The NLIST provides access to 6000+ e-journals, 1,99,500 + e-books under NLIST and 6,00,000 e-books through NDLI.
